The UK Food Tourism website is an excellent online resource for both visitors (or even local residents) with an interest in food, and food-related businesses or organisations.

The site provides the vital link that is often missing between visitor and supplier and matches the two using the latest methods of displaying information online.

UK Food Tourism provides a democratic space for information exchange. We run on a not-for-profit basis and we rely on submissions from our members to keep things fresh. Please contribute any items or links that you think may be of interest to others.

The website was initially developed by Miller Research in 2008 as an outcome of the annual Abergavenny Food Festival conference. In 2010, the University of Bedfordshire joined forces with Miller Research to further develop the site, made possible with additional funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.

You can e-mail us at info@ukfoodtourism.com

The site offers a wealth of information about the UK's best food festivals, regional foods, producers and farmers markets and where to find them. There is a comprehensive online calendar identifying stand out food-related events across the country which can be used to plan your foodie weekend!

The site offers the ideal opportunity to let people know what you're doing and when you're doing it. Register with the site and you can:

  • Add your business, festival, market to the map page for your region
  • Add an event to the events page
  • Contribute to the conversation through access to the UK Food Tourism blog
  • Access the UK Food Tourism network to promote your business/organisation
